BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Your Heart Rate Monitor

1- Enable Bluetooth on your phone

2- Put on your heart rate monitor.  It should be touching your skin (not over a shirt). If you have an armband monitor, be sure to turn it on.

3- In the app, “Workout Now” – Cardio Only.  Allow the app to connect you.

4- Choose type “other” and name it “Milestones”.

Getting stronger, faster, leaner, gaining endurance- all of these together =Fitness.  So why limit your measure to only the scale?

By setting milestones to help you measure all of the “other” stuff- you will stay motivated and engaged when the scale won’t budge.

Your Music JAMS

Everyone has their own rhythm and listening to an over-caffeinated cheerleader saying the same thing over and over gets tedious.  We designed our app without sound so that you can play the music that inspires YOU to MOVE (Use Alexa, Echo or an old fashioned stereo).  So crank up your tunes and Let’s JAM!!

2- Start with Beginner level. Don’t try to kill it – just yet

QUICK NUTRITION TIP

Stop consuming calories after your last meal of the day.  It IS that simple.  Combined with the extra calories you burn, those skipped  (and typically empty) calories will help you see results quicker.

Weighing In- and How

Weigh-in Friday and Monday.  Friday because you have been regimented, and Monday to see what the weekend did to sabotage your results.

SCHEDULE

When you fail to plan, you plan to fail, so creating a schedule that works in your life is important.  30 min a day- wherever you want to be- 5-6 days a week.  That’s what it takes.

Keeping Up with Milestones

The goal is to pick a milestone every time you have a strength workout and try to crush it.  Do it first if it’s cardio (run) or immediately after your warm-up if it is a strength-based milestone (pushups)

Set interval Preferences to 10 minutes. The default is 2 sets of 10 reps.

Rest as needed. Done early? Fast forward and move on.
